Minutes of the Venedocia village council July 1, 2002 meeting.

Roll was taken with council members Jeff Davis, Vernon Hobbs, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Robert Louth and Paul Price present.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

--Rod Eustler $506.64

--Violet Implement $93.66

--AEP $26.38

--Foltz Sandblasting $300

--Harold L. Mrkle $6.60

--AEP $193.08

--Jenny Pugh $247.90

--Robert Louth $45.00

Lee Lare made a motion to pay all bills. Vernon Hobbs seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business:

--Jenny Pugh stated that Mayor Doug Ruen had found an ordinance pertaining to barking dogs and posted it in the post office.

--Lee Lare reported that after contacting Bruns (out of Coldwater OH) they cannot come until around August to clean the air wells.

--Gloria Leiter stated that she talked with Ronnie Richards and learned that the merry-go-round had been finished at Foltz, but now needs to be painted.

--Vernon Hobbs asked about the progress of the flag pole- had it been ordered by Mayor Ruen?

New Business:

--A discussion of some street work that needs looked into: Paul Price noted that the Williams Street sign is bent and a stop sigh between Bebb and Williams street is faded. Jenny Pugh asked if the No Outlet sign at the north end of Main Street could be moved closer to the last outlet.

--Robert Louth asked when the last letters for abandoned/junk motor vehicles were sent. It was decided that it had been a while since the last letter.

Paul Price moved for adjournment. Jeff Davis seconded the motion. Motion carried.
