Village of Venedocia Council

Venedocia Lions Club February 2, 2004

Mayor Ruen called the meeting to order. Roll call was taken with council members Jeff Davis, Charlie Good, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Paul Price and Robert Louth present.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Maumee Watershed Consv. $12.00 (#3728)

Barrett Brothers (supplies) $49.50 (#3729)

AEP (town storage) $13.17 (#3730)

BWC (1/2 yr. Premium) $254.67 (#3731)

Mill Pond Farms, Inc. $339.50 (#3732)

AEP (Christmas Lights) $286.93 (#3733)

Jenny Pugh (salary) $219.39 (#3734)

Jenny Pugh (postage reimb) $11.25 (#3735)

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Robert Louth seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Paul Price reported that last month three street lights were not working. He called AEP and each was fixed.

New Business

Council members discussed the possibility of spreading stone on streets that are ice and snow covered.

In the past Bob Pugh has filled in for Tom Evans in regards to plowing the streets. Mayor Ruen will talk to Mr. Pugh about continuing this job.

Charlie Good brought to the council’s attention that the flag on Main Street is badly tattered and needs replaced. Robert Louth will take care of purchasing two new flags for the village.

Jenny Pugh read the 2003 annual report (self-audit). Anyone wishing to view the annual report may contact her at her home, 14890 Main Street.

Next meeting will be held on March 1, 2004.
