Meeting was called to order by Mayor Doug Ruen with council members Jeff Davis, Charlie Good, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Paul Price, and Robert Louth present.  Marge and Vince Clement were also present at the meeting.

 

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. 

The bills were presented as follows:

Paul Price moved to pay all bills.  Jeff Davis seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Old Business

Mayor Ruen read the State of the Village Address.  See Attachment A. Attachment A-State of the Village Address.doc

 

Councilman Leiter reported that she did check various locations for junk vehicles.  From her viewpoint all vehicles looked legal.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clement reasoned that the Village’s junk vehicle ordinance needs to be revised.  They feel that surrounding properties are affecting the worth of their property.  Councilman Good proposed investigating ordinances of the surrounding villages.  Registered letters will be sent to the following people in hopes of getting the village to look more presentable:  Tim Burnett, Jerry Foust, Jerry Koenig, Vernon Hobbs, Linda Collins, and Pat Jutte.

 

New Business

Mayor Ruen reported that the Ohio Hybrid Car and Clean Fuels Day will be on Tuesday, March 1st.

 

Mayor Ruen also summarized a letter from Sprint.  The letter stated that Sprint is offering pay phones for locations that are in need of such.

 

Clerk/treasurer Jenny Pugh asked the council to sign a user agreement from the Uniform Accounting Network that will hold the village responsible to pay a $50 per month user fee for the system.  Paul Price moved to sign the agreement.  Charlie Good seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Mr. Clement asked if there was a sidewalk ordinance.  No one was aware of such ordinance.

 

Next meeting will be on March 7, 2005.

 

Paul Price moved to adjourn the meeting.  Meeting adjourned.
