Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club August 8, 2007

Meeting was called to order by President of Council, Robert Louth. The following council members were present: Lee Lare, Paul Price, Jeff Coil, Charlie Good, and Gloria Leiter.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

AEP-street lights $199.07 (#4261)

Lee Lare moved to pay all bills. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Charlie Good moved to reimburse Lee Lare for gasoline used in the town mower. Jeff Coil seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Jenny Pugh reported that a call made to the Van Wert County Foundation shows that since 2001 the Village has received $5250.00 for the use of playground upkeep. On the same topic, Gloria Leiter shared one estimate from the company Backyard Family Furniture. The equipment serves children from 2-13 years of age. Delivery and installation are also covered in the cost of $10,858.40. Other estimates are to come.

Pugh commented that the audit had not been completed at that time.

New Business

Pugh relayed a call received from an insurance agency offering additional protection at a cost of twice the current cost. Price made a motion to decline this offer. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Councilman Good stated that the Village website has been updated. During the month of July the website averaged 151 visits per day.

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 4^th at 5:00 p.m..

Jeff Coil moved for adjournment. Meeting adjourned.
