Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club September 4, 2007

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Doug Ruen with council members Lee Lare, Paul Price, Jeff Coil, Gloria Leiter and Charlie Good present.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Jeff Coil seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Charlie Good moved to pay Ray Young for work done on the village radios. Lee Lare seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

It was reported that the holes in the alleys should be repaired before cold weather sets in.

Lee Lare will contact Bruns to clean the catch basins.

Gloria Leiter shared that playground equipment seems to be a bit cheaper in Elida than at Backyard Family Furniture. Paul Price moved to forward the proposed playground equipment purchase to the Lions Club members. Charlie Good seconded the motion. Motion carried.

New Business

Council members Good and Leiter discussed the proposal of raising the pay of the fiscal officer and the mayor beginning on January 1, 2008. Their intent was to add $40 per attended meeting and $75 per attended meeting for the mayor and fiscal officer, respectively. Charlie Good moved to accept this proposal. Paul Price seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with the following results:

Motion carried.

Paul Price moved for adjournment. Meeting adjourned.
