Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club January 5, 2009

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Jeff Coil, Robert Louth, Paul Price, Gloria Leiter, and Lee Lare.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Jenny Pugh $16.97 (#4449)

Maumee Watershed Conservancy $12.00 (#4450)

Ohio Municipal League $234.00 (#4451)

Jenny Pugh $285.60 (#4452)

OPERS $78.00 Voucher

AEP-street lights $207.76 Charge 36

AEP-town storage building $13.32 Charge 1

Mayor Eutsler appointed council members Coil, Lare, and Leiter as check signers for the year.

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Lee Lare seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

There was no old business to discuss at this time.

New Business

Jeff Coil moved to appoint Robert Louth as council president. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The following departments were appointed by Mayor Eutsler:

Street Department: Lee Lare and Gloria Leiter

Parks Department: Paul Price and Jeff Coil

Safety Department: Robert Louth and Charlie Good

Robert Louth moved to employ Kim Coil as the town custodian. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Jeff Coil moved to appoint Tom Bigham as the village zoning inspector. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The names of Martin Burchfield, Scott Gordon, and Mr. Hatcher were given as attorneys that will be contacted for village solicitor.

Jenny Pugh shared Ordinance 2009-1, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance and the Certificate of the Total Amount from all Sources Available for Expenditures and Balances. A roll-call vote was taken with the following results: Price-yes, Lare-yes, Louth-yes, Leiter-yes, Coil-yes, Good-yes. Motion carried.

Councilman Good stated that the RC-2 form, Schedule of Records Retention and Disposition, was approved by the Ohio Historical Society.

The 2009 Village council meetings will be held on the first Monday of each month, excluding holidays, at 6:00 p.m. at the Venedocia Lions Club. The next meeting will be February 2, 2009.

Jeff Coil moved for adjournment. Meeting adjourned.
