Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club April 5, 2010

Meeting was called to order by President of Council, Robert Louth. The following council members were present: Paul Price, Charlie Good, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, and Christina Young. A motion was made by Paul Price and seconded by Charlie Good to excuse the absence of Mayor Eutsler due to the serious illness of his wife. Motion carried.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

AEP $246.57 (charge)

AEP $15.08 (charge)

OPERS $58.49 (voucher)

OPJFS $19.24 (#4549)

Jenny Pugh $214.29 (#4550)

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Lee Lare seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Rod Eutsler asked us to look into finding another town mower. Tim Price will be asked next.

New Business

Louth will contact the County Engineers Office about filling in potholes in the alleys of the Village.

Village resident, Sarah Kimmet, joined the meeting at this point.

A discussion was held concerning selling land adjacent to the Village lot to Jason and Sarah Kimmet. After unofficially surveying the land, it was moved by Charlie Good to sell the Kimmet’s 15 feet of the south end of the town lot for $1 plus 50% of all legal fees involved in the transaction. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Leiter will contact the Village Solicitor to proceed.

Village resident, Sarah Kimmet, stated that the hole left by a collapsed septic tank is growing. There is fear of people falling down into it. Councilman Leiter will contact the County Health Department again about this problem.

Council members Leiter and Young will proceed with surveying the Village for people that are violating the junk ordinance.

Gloria Leiter moved to adjourn.
