Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club June 6, 2011

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Charlie Good, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Robert Louth, Paul Price, and Christina Young. Village resident, Marilyn Strickler, was also in attendance.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Paul Price moved to pay all bills with Lee Lare seconding the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Mayor Eutsler began the meeting with the following announcements:

The Jefferson Street sign project is complete.

Jeff Coil will be hired to put in the sidewalks.

The Linedecker residence’s septic problem has still not been rectified. Ms. Leiter will talk to the Van Wert Co. Health Department again. If there is no satisfaction with this discussion, village solicitor, Scott Gordon, will be contacted.

New Business

Marilyn Strickler asked the council to allow beer to be served at an up-coming benefit event for Mike Gibbs. The event would last for 2 days. Strickler offered to buy the license. After discussion, the Council decided that the Village and ball park rules prohibit this, and they are not willing to take on any problems that may arise due to allowing the sale of alcohol in the Village.

Due to the 4^th of July Holiday, the next meeting will be July 12^th at 6:00.

Robert Louth moved to adjourn the meeting.
