Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club July 12, 2011

The meeting was called to order by President of Council, Robert Louth with the following council members present: Paul Price, Charlie Good, Gloria Leiter, and Christina Young.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Christina Young seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Councilman Leiter reported that after a discussion with Van Wert County Health Department employees, she learned that the septic system at the Linedecker residence should be in place by winter. Local paperwork has been filed; now it is in the state’s hands.

Good asked that a notice be posted announcing to village residents that there is an up-coming vacant council position.

New Business

The fiscal officer reviewed the comments made on the recent audit.

Furthermore, the prepared 2012 budget was examined by the council. Gloria Leiter moved to accept the budget as prepared. Christina Young seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous “yes” vote.

Robert Louth expressed concern of overgrown bushes blocking motorists from seeing the roadway on State Route 116.

Christina Young moved to adjourn.
