Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club April 1, 2013

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler. The following council members were present: Lee Lare, Paul Price, Robert Louth, Gloria Leiter, Christina Young, and Chad Pugh.

The minutes were read, corrected, and approved. It was noted that Lare’s term will expire at the end of 2013, not Pugh’s.

The bills were presented as follows:

UAN $340.30 (#4797)

Van Wert Co. Emer. Management $29.40 (#4798)

Jennifer Pugh $285.72 (#4799)

OPERS $78.00 (voucher)

AEP $18.60 (voucher)

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Lee Lare seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

There are weather packets and emergency phone numbers for all village residents from Van Wert County Emergency Management. These packets will be delivered when the weather permits.

A cover letter to be used for those violating the junk ordinance was shared with council. Names of home owners in violation will be receiving notification within the next two months.

The new village warning siren is working.

New speed limit signs have been posted at the north and south ends of town.

New Business

Councilman Pugh submitted his letter of resignation due to the sale of his home. Mayor Eutsler thanked him for his time on council. Margie Clement will be contacted to fill the vacancy, as she had the next majority votes in the most recent election.

It was noted that the tractor will need some maintenance, such as an oil change and possibly new tires. Lee Lare has agreed to allow the village to pump gas from his fuel tank for the mower.

Robert Louth moved for adjournment.

Christina Young seconded the motion.
