Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club July 1, 2013

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler. The following council members were present: Robert Louth, Paul Price, Marjorie Clement, Gloria Leiter, Lee Lare, and Christina Young. Also in attendance were village residents Sarah Kimmet and Linda Fox-Collins.

The minutes from the June meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Lee Lare seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Old Business

The mayor reported that Mill Pond Farms, Inc. approached him about the village helping pay for new drainage put in throughout the village. An amount between $1000 and $1500 is being sought. Paul Price moved to pay $1500 to Mill Pond Farms, Inc. The fiscal officer would like to review the accounts and funds, therefore this item was tabled until the August meeting.

Gloria Leiter moved to pay Ohio Electro Polishing $100 per year to cover the electricity costs for the storm siren. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous ‘yes’ vote. Motion passed.

New Business

Mayor Eutsler noted that the Lions Club and village residents worked on the playground equipment recently. A few parts are still waiting to arrive for the ship. Residents are reminded to use the equipment properly and safely.

Next, the council members, fiscal officer, and mayor reviewed the budget. Gloria Leiter moved to accept the budget. A roll-call vote was taken to accept the budget as prepared. All members were in favor of prepared budget. Motion passed.

Council person Young will contact Ron Puthoff to check on the status of the repaving grant.

Paul Price moved for adjournment.
