Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club May 7, 2014

The May 7, 2014 meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler. The following council members were present: Tom Emery, Gloria Leiter, Robert Louth, Paul Price, and Christina Young.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Scott R. Gordon $30.00 (#4905)

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Mayor Eutsler reported that Mr. Knapke will be the project manager on the bidding for the street resurfacing project. A figure of $10,000-15,000 was given to Knapke for overage on this project. This is the amount the village will pay to complete any portion of the project that the grant does not cover.

The Salem Presbyterian Youth Group has agreed to clean the streets again this year. Gloria Leiter moved to pay the group $250.00 upon completion of the job, preferably immediately prior to Memorial Day. Christina Young seconded the motion. Motion carried.

A list of addresses is being compiled naming property owners that are violating the junk ordinance.

New Business

Grant opportunities will be sought to help clean up the vacated houses in the village, such as that of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Martin.
