Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club June 2, 2014

The June meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Tom Emery, Gloria Leiter, Robert Louth, Paul Price, and Christina Young. Also in attendance was James Grant.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Salem Presbyterian Youth Group $250.00 (#4910)

Van Wert County Engineer $88.26 (#4911)

James Grant $26.70 (#4912)

Village of Middle Point $1917.59 (#4913)

Jennifer Pugh $285.90 (#4914)

James Grant $225.60 (#4915)

OPERS $78.00 (voucher)

AEP $304.96 (voucher)

Christina Young moved to pay all bills. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

There was no old business to discuss at this time.

New Business

The fiscal officer noted that the budget will be prepared for the next meeting. The question was raised about any necessary changes to the budget or purchases that will need to be considered when preparing the budget. Nothing was mentioned.

The fiscal officer also stated that two fire levies, totaling 2.0 mill will expire at the end of this year. Therefore, both levies or one levy equaling 2.0 mill will need to be put to a vote this year. Paul Price moved to proceed with the paperwork to put these on the ballot. Tom Emery seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous ‘yes’ vote indicated. Motion passed.

Paul Price moved for adjournment.

Robert Louth seconded the motion.
