Regular Council Meeting
April 6, 2015 7:00 p.m.
The April council meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler. The following council members were present: Robert Louth, Gloria Leiter, Paul Price, and Tom Emery. Village resident, Jim Grant, was also in attendance.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Robert Louth seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Old Business
It was reported by the Mayor that there are sewer line problems at Main and Bebb Street. Private contractor, Frank Hoffman has been called by the mayor to look into where the problem is.
Council person Leiter shared her conversation with Scott Gordon concerning the paying of a lawn mower. An independent contract is needed. The following specifications were discussed: an hourly wage of $8.00, employee is responsible for paying taxes, and a 1099 will be issued at the end of the year. The fiscal officer will write a job description so that Leiter can deliver the information to Gordon. He will then draw up a contract.
New Business
Robert Louth moved to hire Jim Grant for the purpose of maintaining the village’s lawn for the 2015 season. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Salem Presbyterian Youth Group has been asked to clean the streets of the village during the month of May, specifically before Memorial Day.
Those attending the certified public records training reported that all council members, the mayor, and the fiscal officer are required to attend such training at least once during their 4-year term.
At 6:39 p.m. Price moved for adjournment. The next meeting will be May 4, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
