Old Business
The mayor reported that the property taxes at the Delbert Martin residence have been paid and the electricity is now on. The health department could not get anyone to answer the door. The well needs capped off before pollution occurs. Truck and house titles have been probated since the death of Mr. and Mrs. Martin. Transfer of titles may take months.
Many water problems continue to plague the village. Concerning the sewer line issues in the village, Scott Gordon talked to Jeff Jones who stated plumbing lines at the Stacia Profit residence were not hooked up properly many years ago. This has affected at least half a dozen home owners throughout the years. Gordon would like to talk to the plumber that did this work. Currently there is an approximate $11,000.00 bill to be paid to Hoffman Plumbing. Nothing will be paid at this time. Also concerning this topic, there are still street conditions that need fixed from the work that was done in May by Hoffman. Mayor Eutsler reported that the State will not do this work for the village. Reseeding of yards will also need to be done.
It is recommended by the council for all village residents to have their septic tanks cleaned out before the village investigates any further drainage issues.
Also it was mentioned that there are water problems on Evans Street due to tile issues.
Council person Leiter told the council that she called to have a trap set for the raccoons that were around the ballpark restrooms. After one week no raccoon was seen or caught.
Pugh shared a summary of the audit; however it is not completely finished yet. A report should be available by the next meeting.
New Business
Please note that Craig Knapke has assumed the role of Ron Puthoff and will be looking for grants for the village.
There are no bolts holding the green slide on at the park.
The wells in the village are not working. Gloria Leiter moved to spend less than $500 to fix this problem. Tom Emery seconded. Motion carried. Jeff Coil will be called to look at the wells.
At 6:50 p.m. Price moved for adjournment. The next meeting will be July 6, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
