Regular Council Meeting

July 9, 2017 6:30 p.m.

The July 2017 council meeting was called to order by Mayor Sarah Kimmet with the following council members present: Tom Emery, Paul Price, Doug Price, Gloria Leiter, Marjorie Clement, and Christina Young. Also present was Craig Knapke.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read, corrected and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Marjorie Clement moved to pay all bills. Tom Emery seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Craig Knapke from Access Engineering explained the next steps in the grant process. The OPWC grant is written in hopes to secure $500,000 for the village’s street reconstruction needs. Paul Price moved to accept the OPWC grant application as prepared. Doug Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Adding to the proposed OPWC money is the $108,000 ODOT work and the $10,000 commitment from the Village, the total project money would equal $618,000. Gloria Leiter moved to accept this commitment, and Tom Emery seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Sealed bids for the old village computer were given by Clement, Young, and Kimmet. Kimmet will purchase the computer for $150.

New Business

Pugh presented the 2018 budget. After some discussion and modifications, Christina Young moved to accept the budget. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous ‘yes’ vote indicated.

At 1:45 p.m. Christina Young moved for adjournment. The next meeting will be Monday, August 7^th at 6:30 p.m. Meeting adjourned.
