Village of Venedocia

Regular Council Meeting

August 6, 2018

The August council meeting was called to order by Mayor Sarah Kimmet with the following council members present: Doug Price, Paul Price, Margie Clement, Jordan Young, Gloria Leiter, and Tom Emery. Also in attendance was village solicitor, Scott Gordon.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Doug Price moved to pay all bills. Margie Clement seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Scott Gordon talked with council about the processes necessary to sell the town lot. A title search would need to be completed to make sure there are no liens or encumbrances on the land. Mr. Gordon would prepare the deed after an appraisal is completed. Councilman Leiter will search for the parcel number.

Mayor Kimmet shared a message from JoAnne Simmerman. She reported that grass is growing on some of the newly prepared lots, two flag poles have been ordered for the corner lot (one will hold the American flag and the other will hold a flag symbolizing Venedocia), and mulch will be placed around the bench.

New Business

There was no new business to discuss at this time.

At 7:14 p.m. Gloria Leiter moved for adjournment. Meeting adjourned.

The next meeting will be changed to September 5, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. due to the Labor Day holiday.
