Regular Council Meeting
December 6, 2018
The December council meeting was called to order by Mayor Kimmet with the following council members present: Doug Price, Margie Clement, Gloria Leiter, Jordan Young, Paul Price, and Tom Emery. Also in attendance was Craig Knapke.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Doug Price moved to pay all bills. Tom Emery seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Old Business
Craig Knapke updated the council on the progress of the street project. He stated that PAB Contracting is done for the year and will return in spring. The mailbox issues mentioned last month were addressed with the company. PAB will perform some general clean up before moving out for winter.
Gloria Leiter moved to approve the pay request of $90,327.42 to PAB Contracting for services rendered thus far and authorize the necessary signatures. Paul Price seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous ‘yes’ vote indicated. Motion passed. The Ohio Public Works Grant made this payment possible.
Joanne Simmerman contacted Mayor Kimmet to state that the former Martin property has two wells, with one having been capped.
New Business
Craig King, fire chief of Middle Point Fire Department, contacted Mayor Kimmet about an increase for the fire contract effective January 2019. The annual contract will now be $2000. Gloria Leiter moved to enter into contract with the Middle Point Fire Department, and Margie Clement seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Margie Clement moved to pay Vernon Hobbs $70 per hour for the purpose of snow removal for the village for the current winter season. Doug Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.
At 7:33 p.m. Paul Price moved for adjournment. Meeting adjourned.
The next meeting will be changed to Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
